CASE REVIEW

Understand where you stand before deciding what happens next.

Before Civil Litigation Consultancy undertakes substantive work on a new matter, we first need to understand the case properly. Our £125 Case Review provides a focused assessment of your matter based on the information and key documents you provide.

Case Review

£125

A focused assessment of your case before further work is undertaken.

What does the Case Review include?

As part of the review, we will consider the key facts and documentation provided and assess the matter in context. Depending on the nature of your case, this may include:

  • the background and chronology of the dispute

  • relevant correspondence and documents

  • any court or tribunal proceedings already underway

  • upcoming deadlines, hearings or procedural requirement;

  • the principal issues in dispute;

  • apparent strengths, weaknesses or evidential gaps;

  • the position being advanced by the other party;

  • the practical options available for progressing or responding to the matter.

Why do we review the case first?

No two disputes are the same. A document that appears straightforward may sit within a much wider procedural or evidential problem.

Equally, the action a client initially believes they need may or may not always be the most appropriate next step.

The Case Review allows us to understand the matter before recommending or undertaking further work.

It also means that fees for subsequent work can be based on the actual scope and complexity of the case rather than assumptions made before the documents have been considered.

What is not included?

The £125 Case Review is an assessment of the matter. unless expressly agreed otherwise, it does not include:

  • the drafting of substantive correspondence or court documents;

  • representation or attendance at hearings;

  • ongoing correspondence with another party; or

  • continuing management of the case.

How do i proceed?

New matters must first be submitted through our Discuss Your Case enquiry form. We will consider the initial information provided to determine whether the matter is one we may be able to assist with.

If so, you will be asked to proceed with the £125 Case Review and provided with details of any further documents we require.
